Masaki Hagino – Painting
In Masaki Hagino's work, the images seem to be vibrating. Transparent color layers give his works a mysterious atmosphere of ambiguity to his forest views. "It dwells inside." With these words Masaki Hagino summarizes his intention, a movement to the inner world. He sees his painting process as a meditation and questions the filter of emotions, prejudices and acquired knowledge that influence our perception. In this way his paintings invite the viewer to step into an inner space.
After graduating in Free Art and Design in Japan at Nagoya University, the young artist currently studies Art in Halle. Since 2012 in Germany, he exhibits all over Germany and is represented in numerous art fairs, e.g. at Art Karlsruhe.
Hannah A. Hovermann – Painting
Hannah Hovermann's paintings fascinate the viewer by the combination of withdrawal and high intensity. Her topic is the phenomenon of color, it is about the infinite, the energy. In an extended meditative process she sprays puff to puff diluted watercolor paint on paper. This elaborate glaze technique makes the colors seem to be floating and gives them an intense luminosity.
After her graduation at the Dusseldorf Art Academy and studies of Free Art and Art Therapy, Hannah Hovermann has exhibited since 1991 regularly in Germany. Her works are in private and public collections.
Klaus E. Haun – Photography
The detailed photographs by Klaus Haun captivate the viewer by the sensuality of the mediated beauty and perfection of nature. Consciously the artist brings the viewer in close contact with buds, seed heads, flowers and leaves. With the composition of the exhibited photos he lets the viewer participate in the authentic moment where the photograph was taken because he doesn't use any computer corrections.
The professional photographer has shown his work since 2003 successfully in special locations, e.g. 2006 at Schloss Dyck in Juchen and 2016 at the Maximilian Park in Hamm.
Lotte Thuenker – Sculpture
Lotte Thuenker's nonfigurative, perfectly crafted sculptures play an artistic game with forms and lines. She looks for the balance between stillness and movement, between lightness and weight. Her work in marble, alabaster, onyx and bronze show surprising new forms from different angles.
Her sculptures are created in Italy, in the international Sculptor Studio Studio Pescarella in Pietrasanta, which she co-founded. Lotte Thuenker studied architecture in Berlin and worked as an architect. Since the 90s she has been active as an artist. She has shown her sculptures in numerous exhibitions in Germany, Italy and Switzerland.
Exhibition from 25th October 2015 to 28th February 2016
Ildefonso Aguilar – Painting and Photography
A Film about the Artist and Composer
Ildefonso Aguilar, who lives and works in Lanzarote, is considered an
important representative of the ecology movement on the island. Aguilar
expresses his closeness to the island landscape in his paintings,
musical compositions and architectural works. His themes are the four
elements fire, water, air and earth. In addition to acrylic paint he
uses natural materials such as volcanic ash or sand.
Between 1963 and 1968, he studied art in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. In
Arrecife, he taught painting and drawing for six years. Since his main
field of oil painting on canvas did not satisfy him personally, he
devoted himself increasingly to a lifelong passion, photography.
Over time he found his way back to painting: he had developed a new
technique in which he edited photos with sand, and created surfaces with
glue and grains, giving a new structure to his paintings. Soon he tried
it on wood, for example the wood that has been traditionally used for
shipbuilding, and in this way developed the first sand images which have
a unique expression due to their own characteristics and precision.
Through his five trips to Iceland, he is now inspired by the nature of
the largest volcanic island of the earth, which, despite its northern
location has much in common with his homeland, especially the geological
Today Ildefonso Aguilar is one of the few artists who uses the
sand-technique in paintings and photographs. By many layers of fine
sand, he gradually creates a landscape that reminds the viewer of
Lanzarote or Iceland.

The ceramic artist Gabriele Hagenhoff, who studied Ceramic Design in
Krefeld, lives and works in Osnabrück. Her figurative sculptures are
characterized by their authentic expression, with their abstract
faces the focus entirely goes onto the movement of the body - the
timeless figures dance the dance of life.
Their gestures have an expressive power of reaching out and going deep
within, which makes them a mirror of the soul and a visualization of the
The interweaving of the rugged surface with the vitality of movement
creates the constant play between injury and healing, between
melancholy and joy of life. In this way the viewer becomes aware of how
he can grow from the challenges of life.
